Managing Drivers

The Drivers tab is located on the CSA Manager page. The Drivers tab allows you to create a Master Driver List to manage all of your drivers. You may enter new drivers manually; or, you may import the driver list via an Excel, CSV or XML file. If you have multiple DOT’s, they can be imported from a single file.

NOTE: The CSA Manager tab will appear on your Vigillo site only if you are an administrator with a subscription to the Driver Data Manager.

Importing Drivers

Users have the option to manually enter single drivers or to import a driver list from an Excel or CSV file. If you have multiple DOTs, they can be imported from a single file.

To manually add a driver:

  2. Click on the Drivers tab, then click the Create icon.
  3. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the driver information into the required fields.
  4. Click Save. The new driver will be added to your Master Driver List.

To import a driver list from a single Excel or CSV file:

  1. Login to Vigillo. Click the CSA Manager tab located in the navigation bar.

  2. Click on the Drivers tab, then click the Import icon to launch the driver import.

  3. A pop-up window will appear.

  4. Click the Select Drivers File to browse your computer files.

  5. To select a file, click Open, then click OK.

  6. The selected file will be mapped to your import fields.

  7. Use the drop down list to select the target fields you wish to import.
Note: If the system cannot identify a field, the field will say Do Not Import.

For troubleshooting, refer to Step 6. To finish importing, skip ahead to step 7.

  8. Scroll through the list to check that the fields are mapped correctly. If fields are mapped incorrectly, use the drop down list to select the correct target field. If the correct target field cannot be selected, change it to Do Not Import, then return to the drop down list and select the desired target field

Example: In the screen shot below, the Driver Manager field was mapped incorrectly, with sample values of "West" and "Central",  and is marked Do Not Import. The Region field, with sample values of "Bryant Willis" and "Suzie Quinell" should be selected as the target field.

  9. Once all fields are mapped correctly, click OK.

  10. Once the import is complete, your results will be displayed.
